Riccardo Cornaglia Photographer

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I am actually based in Moncalvo, near Asti, in the heart of the Monferrato, a land made a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, full of lovely places and locations. I do, though, move a lot for work, both in Italy and around Europe.

I use exclusively Reflex and professional cameras. More specifically I have a Canon EOS 5d Mark II, which I am quite fond of. Furthermore I use lighting systems and wireless transmitters to adjust atmospheric light.

My style is, broadly stated, reportage, and, more specifically, what is known as people photography. These terms are usually not really used properly, but I do try to capture people, leaving all the freedom they need to the bride and groom. This allows me to stay honest to my understanding of the idea of wedding and of wedding photography, and also to deliver the best possible memories to the newlyweds.

Of course, this is fundamental to a proper wedding photography session, and I am also fond of this kind of shoots. We will stage together the pictures, and I will suggest the perfect staging to best express you and your personality.

Not personally, but I do often collaborate with really good video artists that make videos in HD and Blu-Ray, using cinematic techniques and they are always happy to work on weddings.

For the most possible transparency, I only work on contract for commission of photographic services, on which is reported everything: types of service, times and dates, costs, products, delivery times, deposits, and so on. There are some types of service that change only for the number of images delivered and for the amount of time that we get involved during the wedding day.

Regarding the products, we do not have a standard cut, but we will give you the possibility to choose between traditional albums, books, custom DVDs and Wedding Boxes made by the best Italian artisans that might become beautiful design objects containing the reportage of your wedding. Every wedding is unique and so there are several options, therefore we recommend you to book an appointment to find a solution tailored to your needs.

I usually have a trusted assistant for lightings and transport, so to not miss even the smallest detail. There is also the possibility to have a four hands wedding involving another professional photographer.

The best possible solution would be to book with a few months in advance, especially because during the summer months the workload is huge, and I suggest you contact me first to ask for availability.

After I have shown you the estimate, I will provide you the contract to be signed. In that occasion I need 30% of the total amount to secure your booking. After that you can consider yourself booked.

Usually I deliver the proofs in digital format before 180 days from the date of your wedding. The times are usually this long because I do all the post production myself to be sure to obtain the best possible result.

The proofs will contain quite a huge amount of pictures, and you will be choosing the ones you like the most. After that I will deliver them to you in digital HD format, so that you will be completely independent in the printing stage. However, if you want me to, I will also help you out during this last stage.

I will deliver a first layout edited by myself, as I believe that to get an elegant result you need a trained eye. Successively, on the basis of your own decisions, I will make all the modifications you want me to.

The actual number will be in accordance with the decisions you made in the beginning when negotiating the contract. Anyway I usually bring at least 100 images.

Of course, all the pictures I will bring to you will be checked and then edited by myself to make them the best possible shoot. My post production style comes from a dedicated study on the ongoing and new trends.

Absolutely, both me and my assistant will be available to everyone of your requests. Do not hesitate, just ask. Just one more thing: we will need to get something to eat, not necessarily the full lunch 😉.

I'd love to hear from you
