LOVE PHOTO EXPERIENCE – A personal adventure you can't miss

In this very short paper I would like to illustrate my vision of the LOVE PHOTO EXPERIENCE projectand how I finally managed to accomplish an idea that was rolling in my mind since the very beginning I've started to photograph people. I reckon I express my best with photo features. I love to capture special moments, those that radiate real life and experiences and through them I create everlasting memories that narrate stories, places, feelings of my subjects. I joined professional photography field quite a short time ago, following a burning passion I felt since I was a kid and turning it into a proper job. I've started to immortalize people I met during my travels around the world, to investigated their behaviour and to explore society's customs and traditions. It was absolutely inspiring and challenging, but also it was never fully satisfying for me, I was missing something. It wasn't enough for me to photograph these people without even get to know them. I wanted to go beyond the surface, to comprehend their gestures and to pull out their inner reality: I wanted to photograph their intimacy.

The very next step has been joining the wedding branch,, which allowed me and still allows me to meet so many couples who want to be photographed by me on their most important day of their entire lives, this makes me really proud and loads me with such a responsibility that it makes my legs tremble every time. By doing this job I not only get to know couples but also their families, their stories, their past, I help them when they need it and reassure them throughout the period preceding the wedding, let's say that in most cases I become friends and with this I increase my personal baggage a little more each time. Working in weddings allowed me to execute couple services like the Engagement then the services of Pregnancy e also more Family session, which made me develop the desire to perform these services with less superficiality and with more awareness but above all the desire to photograph the intimacy of every gesture and every person.

The encounter I had during one of the few workshops I've ever took part of has been definitely enlightening. Il was held by Ivan Troyanovsky, an amazing photographer from Russia. He taught me what is the real essence of intimate photography with couples, families or even friends. This episode truly and deeply changed the way I perceive photography and the way I relate to my job now.

After this meeting with such a phenomenal artist, I noticed photography lacks of a proper branch focused on intimate shooting. It might be because intimacy is something you want to keep private or even the fact that it's way more challenging to establish the necessary trust with your subjects, in order to make them feel relaxed and comfortable, able to loosen up and let a friend photograph them, not only an unsympathetic operator. This has become my aim: to be able to create a genuine experience for those who were looking for something different. I mean to offer a kind of experience over and above commercial photography stereotypes: an experience of real life.

chose to involve in this project to beloved friends and colleagues, Rebecca Rinaldi and Carolina Serafini (sweetphotofactory.com). They accepted my proposal straight away and they swiftly started to help me building such a unique project called lovephotoexperience.com. Love Photo Experience is specifically designed for people who have a love story to tell, any kind of love:couples, family, friendship, who knows what else could be. Love emerges in countless ways. No matter which one, love is love for everybody. It is that kind of experience that makes us take care of the other or feel butterflies in our stomach. Rebecca, Carolina and me will be ready to capture the heart and essence of the pure love you are living.
