It's been a busy week and a hasty dinner and then any movie would be waiting for you at home but, when you cross the threshold of your apartment, you find a wonderful table set by candlelight. A wonderful smile spreads across your face and you run to hug the only person in the world who can make you so happy. Wouldn't you like to see yourself from the outside, there, crowded together, in your dining room, with the candles lit and the butterflies circling around you? Well, maybe you're not always so romantic and the person you share your days with doesn't prepare surprises with soft lights, but I can assure you that every couple becomes the protagonist of sublime photographs that, however, no one takes. The objective of what are called photographic Love Sessions is precisely to frame the passion with shots taken from random but perfect moments.
You have certainly wanted a magical fragment of your love story to be immortalized by a hidden camera, to preserve the memory of your emotions and relive them later. It could have been the engagement, or a beautiful one trip out of town, or, again, one dinner in a little restaurant by the sea during holidays... But these are not always "special" moments: sometimes, couples would like time to stop while they are immersed in simple joys, daily, with spontaneous smiles and completely natural poses. The first thing that comes to mind are moments of intimacy, like when you laugh out loud over the slightest thing, like when you stay in each other's arms and talk, still in your pajamas, on a Sunday morning; or like when you kiss to say goodbye, on the doorstep of your house; afternoons playing with the children, cleaning the house and shopping in the center on Saturday afternoon. You don't need to be in a wedding dress, with the fabulous setting of a wedding behind you, to talk about your love.
What directors and actors try to reproduce in their films we, without realizing it, live every day and sometimes a camera would be enough to realize how much beauty there is in our days! If we realized how much tenderness shines through our gestures, perhaps even routine would seem a little less boring to us. When I perceived this need - that of wanting to tell the story of a couple's bond even beyond the wedding day - I realized that, as a photographer, I had the power to fulfill this beautiful desire. This is how the idea of Photographic Love Sessions was born: a period of time in which, with my camera, I immortalize everything that two lovers wish to show about their relationship. Depending on the availability of the couples who involve me, the love session can have a short duration of half a day or a long one, sometimes two or even three days: I really like spending my time with them, searching for the truest expressions and their more authentic gestures.
Love sessions reveal the intimacy of a relationship beyond the precious clothes, the constructed sets and the studied poses. It happens that beautiful photos are the result of a moment of carelessness, boredom, even an argument. There is obviously also the possibility of organizing fun scenes that talk about you and recreate atmospheres that are dear to you or familiar to you. The love session can be held at home or at the seaside, as well as in the neighborhood park or on the bus. In short, it all depends on you and who you are as individuals and as a "team": a photographic love session is an experience worth living! It is also perfect as a gift, to surprise your partner or to pay homage to a couple you particularly love. From this special activity which is now an integral part of my work, I have learned something extraordinary: a love session does nothing but reveal the beauty of all those daily moments that give the true flavor of a love story.
